Help RECLAIM Pueblo's Arkansas River Trail System! Gary Lacey the designer of the white water course and his crew showed up with 70+ nursery trees to plant on our course. Thanks to many volunteers from the Pueblo Paddlers, Colorado Springs, and all the people who ran the equipment, without them we would have been still planting all those trees next week. Gary Lacey the course designer and his staff will be on hand to help with the project. We will meet Saturday morning in the pearl street parking lot. In order to plant the trees we need to cut them and prepare them for planting. We will be cutting them on Wednesday and Thursday the 13th and 14th of April around 5:00pm. Everyone is invited to help. Bring gloves and tools for trash pickup and weed removal..If weather permits we will be boating after.&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2)PLANTING TREES AND SHRUBS- we hope to plant native trees and shrubs along the white water course according to Gary Lacey's design. This event is being planned for Saturday the 16th of April but the date is not firm. Scott Hobson (City of Pueblo) is confirming the date with Gary and his staff. Scott may need help in prepairing the plants for that day and we will keep everybody posted.&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3)Volunteers are needed for many parts of the Grand Opening Event May 7th. Parking,Water Safety,Safety Boaters,Booth Manning, and many other positions. We are thinking of doing some kind of rotation throughout the day so no one person has to do the same thing all day.
